Modesto Virtual Academy –Online Independent Study

The Modesto Virtual Academy (MVA) is our online independent study program for students in grades TK-12. Please review the link to the right and below for information regarding the program format and other frequently asked questions (FAQ).

Students who have an interest in attending MVA who are currently eligible for Special Education and Related Services through an IEP, must have an IEP meeting to discuss a possible programmatic change PRIOR to enrollment in MVA. For additional information regarding this process, please contact your case-manager.

Similarly, students on a 504 plan who have an interest in attending MVA, must have a 504 meeting to discuss a possible programmatic change PRIOR to enrollment in the MVA. For additional information regarding this process, please contact your school’s 504 Coordinator.

Students Currently Enrolled In Other Districts

Modesto Virtual Academy is a program for students of Modesto City Schools. We welcome all students to our program. Students enrolled in neighboring districts must first become students of Modesto City Schools. Please contact Modesto City Schools starting May to enroll your student for the 23-24 School Year:
